i am a stinky updater.
what to say about the last few weeks.

have been enjoying the warmer weather - getting some sun in the garden, listening to my Lost podcasts and reading my cookbooks, just enjoying 'having it good' in cph. there's never been a cozier time for me, truly.

the wedding is fortyone days away, if that can be believed. lots has been settled but there's still much more to do - food planning, some rental stuff, flowers. i feel like a silly girl these days because i really only think about the wedding, cakes and the gym. i've lost a few kilos and toned up a lot, but it's been serious work. at least an hour a day, six days a week. i am busting my firm and newly-contoured ash. worried that i won't be able to make my goal of looking...as close to bridal couture as possible (as in, a clothes hanger with boobs). we'll see. it's all about the arms. the arms are the key to the whole game. kind of like australia in 'risk'.

sidenote: i actually almost got that dress that i linked above. tried it on at niemans and everything. it was beautiful but enormous and super heavy. that is taffeta for you. the dress i got is by the same designer and has a similar (smaller) silhouette but a lace overlay on the top and the rest is organza and silk instead - here's a taste / and the back with the bustle. note the sorry state of the arms in those pictures. woof!

looking forward to the honeymoon Bigtime, though. fifteen days in sunny key west, fl. so the wedding is saturday, june 20 - we'll fly to chicago the next morning at 10am, and arrive at 5pm (time zones, man), drop our stuff and spend the night in chicago, then fly to miami early on monday the 22nd, pick up our convertible and drive 5 luxurious hours down US Route 1 in the open sun with islands and oceans on either side. then it's just about hanging out, relaxing, snorkeling, kayaking, swimming, sunning and being together. it will be rad. we'll head back up to miami on wednesday, july 7th and stay in chicago with the fam until the 13th, when we're flying back to cph. really looking forward to the big party on the 11th, though - cannot wait to see everyone again!

i really just can't remember or imagine a happier time. everything is coziness personified. will there ever be a smilier, skinnier year in my life. who knows. anyway. these next few months are going to be incredible. not to face rub.
just saying :)

to conclude, things are running smoothly. hunting for jobs, trying to eat healthy, counting down to the big day, but for the most part just blissfully cohabitating on bogtrykkervej. can't complain.
